I took a tarot deck to Wyldwood

Immediately after visiting Bearded Theory - I packed my best 17th Century frock coat, my third favourite smoking jacket and went with my family to the Wyldwood Renaissance Festival.

This time, the naive and slightly ludicruous folk-art of the Tarot de Marseille was my chosen deck.

I met kings, jesters, cartographers, reenactors, makers, mead converts and an extremely composed Ural owl. I discovered something fascinating but completely grotesque about these majestic birds.

This Tarot Interviews special is another festival postcard that includes random encounters that could have been rolled by a drunken GM, a shuffled deck, casual sword talk, Farkling, permanent jewellery, medieval chaos and the realisation that home can be a field full of nerds.

Listen to the adventure now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or take a look at the gallery of rogues I encountered.
