Oh no. You drew The Tower card...

How would you use it to describe your current project?

Welcome to Tarot Interviews, a world-first podcast format that throws away the journalist's playbook! Artists, writers, musicians and all kinds of creative minds are interviewed using a tarot deck.

Take a listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or your favourite platform.

Every episode is completely unscripted and entirely unique. Each guest draws three cards, and those cards become our prompts.

From there, we just see where the deck takes us, following the strange turns of fate that shape a creative life. We are especially passionate about highlighting underrepresented voices in podcasting, sharing stories and perspectives you won't hear elsewhere.

In Season One, we officially started our Fool's Journey on April 1st, 2025, sitting down with author Lauren Beukes. Each episode features weekly cosy conversations with brilliant folks across the globe.

Now, Season Two brings a series of standalone specials where truly anything could happen. An episode might come from a bustling summer festival or a spontaneous pop-up in your city. We’ve already kicked off this new chapter with recordings from Bearded Theory and Wyldwood, but beyond there? Only the cards can say.

Whether you're listening from down the road in Notts or from the other side of the world, make yourself at home. Grab a brew and explore the episodes below.

Where the cards lead the conversation

  • World-First Formats: We use tarot as a tool to conjure new stories in new ways.

  • Proudly made in Beeston, Nottinghamshire: Produced in the birthplace of a Golden Dawn magician, Robert Felkin, straight to the world.
  • Unscripted & Unique: No two episodes are the same. With 78 cards in a standard deck, there's a 1 in 76,076 chance of two guests drawing the exact same three cards (and a 1 in 456,456 chance if they draw them in the exact same order!). Every single chat is mathematically unique.
  • Fresh Perspectives: Dedicated to spotlighting underrepresented voices, independent creators, and fascinating cultural figures.
  • Two Ways to Explore: Listen to the audio podcast, or check out our digital scrapbook sister project, Tarot DMs, on Substack.
  • Global Community: Listened to by folks in more than 55 countries.
  • Listen Anywhere: Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Audible, and all your favorite platforms.

Tarot Interviews vs. Tarot DMs

If you love the concept but are looking for something a little more visual, our Substack called Tarot DMs is for you! It takes the same core idea: interviewing creatives using tarot cards but instead of a classic podcast, the conversation unfolds through messenger apps using pictures, text, and GIFs. It's like a digital scrapbook, made of cut-outs from the whimsical side of internet.
